School Council & Pupil Voice
At Pond Meadow we offer everyone the opportunity to attend and contribute to student voice meetings. Every half term each class nominates a student representative to attend meetings and contribute to school newsletters.
There are separate lower school and upper school student voice meetings which provide a great opportunity for students from across the school to socialise and build new friendships. The students participate in planning whole school events and celebrations by voting and sharing ideas. We also discuss things we would like to improve at school.
Recently student voice have been involved in making decisions about our new school library! Students voted on the colour of the library and chose new books. The Pond Meadow student voice group also take part in SPAN school council days which involves attending a conference with peers from other schools to share what we have achieved each academic year.
We have pupil representatives from primary and secondary who attend our Destination Pond Meadow meetings and decide on ways to spend monies raised on school resources.
